The theme for Stoner's Dairy Farm this year was the Jungle!
I THINK we made it through most of the maze this year. It is so hard to tell where you are and if you even made it past the 1st section. The boys had fun and we picked out a lot of pumpkins and ate a lot of hotdogs!
B&G worked really hard on their art projects this year. They both wanted to enter the clay division. Each one thought about it for a day or so and then told me what they wanted to make. I printed pictures for them and away they went. The rules are you can not help them and I think they did pretty good. They both went on stage to receive their awards this year! Broc received 2nd and G placed 3rd. I am very proud!
We started out with a lot of decorating and the boys carefully picking out their Halloween costumes. After much thought and conversations between them selves; Broc wanted to go as and X Wing Pilot so he could fight......DARTH VADER, which of course is Garret. I surprised them and went as Princess Lea.
We decorated doors, bought a lot of pumpkins, decorated the front porch, the boys made a haunted house, made glow in the dark mason jars, spider hot dogs, spider pizza and lots more stuff. They of course had fall festival at school and a lot of Halloween parties. We tried to do a fun Halloween activity everyday for two weeks before Halloween! PHEW!
Since we live in an old house, I am always looking for storage ideas. When we left the cabin one weekend, we stopped off to have dinner at
Buddy Lou's Eats, Drinks & Antiques. Really cool place with great food and of course antiques. While walking out I saw this cool highschool locker! Tony was able to negotiate the price down and we took it home.
Tony is making some minor changes to it, but soon the boys will be using it for their coats, hats and other things. As you can see, Garret has already claimed the middle locker.
