I had to leave on Sunday to take care of my mom and Tony finished cleaning up the mess and removing the toilet. \u00a0Plumber comes today and then we can finish gutting the ceiling.<\/p>\n<p>The bathroom was more then we expected. \u00a0 The tub and plumbing slowed us down. \u00a0While I gutted all the walls, Tony worked on cutting out all the plumbing, breaking up the old cast iron tub and hauling all the mess out to the truck. \u00a0The walls took a lot of time as well. \u00a0I had to first remove each piece of wainscoting, which I threw right out the window for the burn pile. \u00a0I will miss that wainscoting. \u00a0It was really beautiful. \u00a0Then, I had to remove the old horse hair plaster and wood slats behind it. \u00a0Afterwards, I worked on the area around the bathtub. WHAT A MESS! \u00a0They had layer upon layer upon layer of stuff.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>wood slats<\/li>\n<li>horsehair plaster<\/li>\n<li>wall paper (we think it was a nursery before being a bathroom)<\/li>\n<li>wainscoting<\/li>\n<li>wood framing<\/li>\n<li>dry wall<\/li>\n<li>cement backer board<\/li>\n<li>tile<\/li>\n<li>shower insert<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CRAZY! \u00a0I can&#8217;t believe how many times I swung a sledge hammer on Saturday. \u00a0My hands still hurt. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Today the plumber is coming to rough in the tub, replace all of the old pipes and then we can finish knocking out the ceiling and hopefully all of this awful dust. \u00a0\ud83d\ude41 \u00a0We have been taking showers in the yard with a hose. \u00a0Where is the warm
