Cows

The other week I was on a work video with about 15 other people.  I am hanging out, doing my best to look interested…when I hear this BANG and a MOO!  I look at the dining room window and what do I see.  A calf fall out the back of a trailer, slide across the road, jump up and walk into our yard.

I keep a straight face for the rest of the call (maybe 5 to 10 mins) and head outside to see if it is still around.  I find the calf out by our garage just standing there.  He moos at me and I go over and give him a good scratch on his neck and check him over.  He is scuffed up a bit, but in pretty good shape.  He was not very old, maybe a week if not less!!!

Call the neighbor who has goats and a little fenced in area to put him in.  Took us a while to get him over there, but we finally managed.

I ended up posting on FB and found the owners a few mins later.  They came and got him.  The next day they messaged me and said that he was doing well.

He was just the cutest little thing!

Mother’s Day!

We had a very relaxing day and it seemed really slow….but in a nice way!!  Not slow as in dragging.  I ate like a queen and the place where we get all of our flowers, was closed, but we will go back tomorrow after work and pot all of our annual Mother’s Day flowers.

We have been painting, so excuse the mess.  🙂

Adventures

Broc, Garret and I go out for a lot of drives.  We like to play the lost game.  At each new road or stop sign one of use will decide which direction to go in.  A couple of weeks ago; we came across a buffalo farm.  Pretty neat.

She is the reigning princess

Ellie Girl, aka Elle Woods and Kitty Pare is def. ruling the roost around here.  She is feisty, sassy and just an over all cuddly cotton ball.

While Tygra had an actual song; Ellie just has songs made up by here and there through out the day.

The most current one comes from Miley Cyrus’ I Came in Like a Wrecking Ball

I came in like a cotton ball
I never felt this soft before
All I wanted was to fluff your face
All you ever did was brush me
Yeah, you brushed me

She is a silly little kitty

Mighty, Mighty Tygra!!

Broc turned the Frosted Flakes jingle into Tygra’s song that we sing around the house:

Everywhere we go, Everywhere we go,
People wanna know, People wanna know,
Who we are, Who we are,
So we tell them! So we tell them,
We are TYGRA! We are TYGRA!
Mighty, mighty TYRGA! Mighty mighty TYGRA!

What have we been doing…..

A lot of games (I introduced the boys to Rock Em Sock Em Robots), boys showed me how to play bottle flip, work…lot’s of work (they don’t let me slow down), snowboarding (one last time before they closed), hiking, boys scouts (before they were shutdown), movies, schoolwork (the best we can and when I have time), chores, outside (A LOT), hockey (before they shut down) unpacking for our FL vacation (you know..the only family vacation we get to take every 5 years), mom’s 75th bday (I feel bad.  She has been in and out of the hospital and is now really sad that she can not see the boys.  She loves to be with them & always asks if she can spend time with them, but she just does not understand that they or even I could make her sick.  And after explaining why, she cries, then says she understands, then asks me again next time I talk to her.  Crazy cycle.), baking (they made cupcakes all on their own the other day)  and helping dad with their tree house.  Lot’s more, but honestly…it is all just starting to run together.  🙁

We have been hunkered down now for over a week.  Not going anywhere.  The most exciting thing we do is drive into town to drop off our mail in the drive up Post Office Box.

Broc had been sick, but a round of steroids helped him a ton!!  Tony has rebounded very fast from his surgery on March 10th and says he feels great! Other then that, we have all been healthy.
