Happy Mother’s Day

While my day did not go as planned (thanks rain!), I still had a fabulous Mother’s Day.

Saturday we planted a ton of flowers and worked in the yard and today, since it rained,  has been a do nothing for mommy day (except for laundry….ssshh).  🙂

Thanks to the boys and Tony for making it so special and for taking me to brunch.

Fields of Gold

You’ll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we walk in fields of gold
So she took her love for to gaze awhile upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love among the fields of barley?
We’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we lie in fields of gold
See the west wind move like a lover so upon the fields of barley.
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly and there have been some that I’ve broken
But I swear in the days still left we’ll walk in fields of gold
We’ll walk in fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down among the fields of gold
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky when we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold, when we walked in fields of gold

Race for Ed-2018

Thanks to everybody that donated to a GREAT cause.  Broc and Garret ran their butts off today.  Broc completed 22 laps and Garret, who had a cramp, finished with 18.

BTW….these are some good looking shirts.  Thanks Coppermine and P-n-G Services.

Williamsburg

This past weekend I planned a trip for the boys to go to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.  It was a LOT of fun and the boys are now over 52″ and could ride (almost) all of the rides.

Broc is the thrill seeker like me and loves roller coasters and anything that scares the poo out of you.

G likes more of the virtual rides and things that spin!

We spent a few hours Sunday walking around Williamsburg.  They had a great art fair where I proceeded to try and buy something from every vendor.  🙂  Loved the paintings and pottery.

On the way out, we stopped off at Pirates Cove and played some putt putt.  Mommy came in first, Broc second and Daddy and G tied for third.

We came so close!!

Jim, Michelle, Pags and I had a HUGE lead in the Trivia Night going into the 5th round and then we slowly came apart.  Jim, who apparently had a huge knowledge of intro songs to Netflix original series kept us in the game long enough to take 3rd place.

It was a lot of fun and even the boys and Tony came to watch us and cheer us on.  🙂

SSAANNDDYYY

I am doing a Trivia Fundraiser Night to help raise money for the local theater and my team is going as Trivia Newton John.  We all have picked a character to go as from Grease.  My cousin, Jim, is going as Danny, I am going as Sandy and my sister and Pags are going as the Pink Ladies.

G thinks it is hysterical to put on my wig!

2nd Grade

I can’t believe it is almost over.   I hope that G can get another teacher like Mrs. Piper and Broc can get a teacher just like Mrs. Piper.    She is wonderful!!

There are rumors that homework for elementary students might just be going away.  Fingers crossed!

How to Be a Pirate!

So cute.  I really love the Washington County Playhouse.  Each time we go, G gets a little more excited about his summer camp!

He has really come out of shell

Cosmo has really come around since we lost Murph.  I am sure he is lonely and needs a companion, but I now have a new side kick.

He is the complete opposite of Charlie Murphy, who wanted attention constantly…all the time, and loved to be held.  Cosmo has a routine.  He is always in the room near me, but does not want to be near me (if that makes sense).  The mornings and evenings, he likes to lay across my stomach and wants attention for like 15 mins.  Then he goes back to his normal routine.
