All About the Author

The boy have been learning to write a lot of book reports over the past few months.  The other day they brought home a TON of them and I thought these were pretty cute.

Cabin

Last weekend we went up to the cabin for a few hours and picked up sticks, had a little bon fire, played king of the hill and the boys explored the ice by the little island.  They had a lot of fun and reminding me a lot of when I was a kid!  BTW, anybody worried about the ice.  The creek is not deep (you can wade in the water there) and the ice was very thick.  😉

BBRRAAAAHHHH

My cousin, Kim, had a friend that was pretty much giving away a little 70….so we picked it up last Sunday.  The boys were a little freaked out at first, but yesterday they were putting around the yard.

Rock and Roll

The boys have been playing their guitars and putting on a lot of shows for me.  Afterwards, they tell me that they can now give me a tour of their dressing room and studios and are even willing to sit down for autographs!

It is a crazy scene.  🙂

First Wrestling Meet..in the books!

We headed to Carlisle, PA today for the boys first official wrestling meet.  It was interesting and def. a learning experience for the boys and def. us as well.  The boys matches were pretty uneven and the coach came over afterwards and told the boys how well they did and apologized to us for the unfair match ups.  No biggie to us!  We had fun and the boys learned a lot.

For everybody coming up next week.  Take a look at the picture of the boys hands.  This is how you know what match the boys have.  They start at 100 to whatever.  So there is some sitting around, but it goes by FAST!  Today started at 9 and we were done by 12:20.

BeanBoozled

Who knew that they could make jelly beans so NASTY!  They now have spoiled milk, barf, stinky feet, moldy cheese and more.  One of their gross flavors is toothpaste. Honestly, after eating some of the above….toothpaste is a welcomed flavor.  Broc by the way is a trooper…G just says “NO WAY!”

Goodbye my little sidekick

It was hard to say goodbye, but I know that we did the right thing.

Murphy took a turn for the worse yesterday.  He was perfectly fine the night before and then Friday morning Tony and I heard him howling and found him at the bottom of the stairs.  He could not use his back legs and was very cold.  I wrapped him up in a towel and held him in my arms for a good hour.  The boys gave him kisses and hugs before they left for school and then I called the vet.  They said to bring him in and they did a quick exam.  His temp should be around 100 and his was 82.  They told me the tumor was much bigger and it had most likely spread to his stomach.  🙁  Murph was very lethargic and kept putting his little head in my hand.  I knew it was time and I did not want him to suffer.

I sang his song that Tony and I made up for him when we first got him and held him tight as he passed away.   The nurse had wrapped him up in warm towels and he was even purring, which made me feel better knowing he was not scared (he hated the vet’s office!).

I miss him so much!  He really was next to me or near every second of the day.  He had been through a lot with me (chemo, surgeries, twins, moves) and he was faithful to the end.  I can’t ever remember having a cat that brought so much happiness to a family.  He even had finally started sleeping with the boys and loving them like he loved me.

I will miss you tons, Charlie Murphy and so will Cosmo!

Star Wars!

I thought I would surprise the  boys with VIP tickets to see Star Wars:  The Last Jedi.  Broc was very excited…Garret, not so much.  SSOOO, daddy too Broc to see it and G and I stayed home and made the best of it.  We made a very LARGE bowl of popcorn, put on our poop emoji slippers (I borrowed Broc’s) and watched movies and worked on Legos!!
