Cousin Jim and his girlfriend, Sarah, asked if they could take the boys one night before the summer ended.

The boys had such a great time and it was really sweet of them to take them for a night while I was out of town.  I am sure Tony needed the break!!  🙂

They are OFF!!  Both were very excited to start the year.  Garret has been excited since the end of July and Broc not so much.   After he met his teacher at Open House last week, he changed his mind and was very happy this morning.

UPDATE:  They both loved their day and Broc has a surprise. Beautiful Mary from Preschool is now in his class!!

We lost, but it was for a good cause.

He started with an idea, got it on paper and then approved the final artwork.  🙂

So this happened last night.  All of our shelves and cabinets fell.  🙁  Glass, laundry detergent stuff, cleaning supplies, gross unopened-very old coke bottles (note – it smells awful) and so much more…..all over the mud room.  AND, it ripped the door off of our washing machine.

What could possibly happen next……..

We finally made it out to Cowan’s Gap and tried out their 3 mile trail.  Which was pretty much 2 miles of straight up hill and then right back down.  It had about a 500 foot elevation change in under mile.    While I was huffing and puffing the boys were practically jogging.  😉  It has been so long since I have been hiking and OH HOW I MISSED IT.  I just wish I could do it more.  One day I suppose.  We will try out a different one next time we go back.

I hope you had a great weekend and thanks to Grand-maman, Uncle Bob and Aunt Ky for watching the boys, so we could float down river!

Garret went out of his comfort zone this year and decided to not do the WhiteTail Adventure camp with Broc and instead did the musical 101 Dalmatians!

He really LOVED it, is already talking about going next year and did a great job both days.

He even made some new friends and signed autographs after the show.  😉
