10 Year Check Up

I took the boys for their yearly check up yesterday.  Was nice to get out of the house since the craziness with the Corona Virus.  It was probably the fastest visit we have had in a VERY LONG time.  Like nobody was there.  The doctor sat and talked to us for a good 30 mins about everything, but the actual appointment.

She was pleased with the boys and we reminisced about the first time they came to see her.    Sniffle, sniffle.

They of course talked her ear off and had lot’s to say to her about anything and everything, but I am pretty sure she loved it.

Broc – 74.8 lbs and  4’8″ (last year 70 lbs and 4′ 6″)

Garret – 78.1 lbs and 4’8″ (last year 71 lbs and 4′ 6″)

Pine Wood Derby

The boys had a ton of fun making their cars with their dad and did pretty good for their first time.  Both finished 2nd in their 1st 2 races and 3rd in their last race.   Broc came in 6th over all.  Which surprises me, because G over all was faster each race, but I have NO IDEA on how they figured out the final numbers.  They also now  know that their are other categories to win trophies in.  Like most stickers, most colorful, etc.

BTW, the boy in the first picture is a good friend of theirs.  He is almost 6 months younger then them!!!  I told Wyatt that he will need to be their body guard in highschool!!!

4th Grade Spring Concert

This year’s theme was Disney and the boys had songs from Zootopia, Lion King and Newsies.  The night was called Remember the Magic!

Both boys had lines this year and do really well!!  And there were a lot of people there!  The whole auditorium was packed.

Snowboarding

I have been lucky enough to get the boys to White Tail at least once a month this season.  Am hoping to get them there 1 more time before the season ends.  They have gotten pretty good and even tried one of the Green Slopes a couple of weeks ago.  I told them that if they get good enough that I don’t have to keep helping them; then maybe I would buy a used board and give it a go next year!!

Time has gotten away from me..

I just realized I have not posted in a while.  Been very busy.  Running the boys to music lessons, hockey, friends, hiking, snowboarding and of course me trying to use this golden ticket I won as much as possible!  I tend to only remember the blog when I pull out lap top to pay the bills.

Anyways, as much as I would love to claim the picture below.   Our one and only Broc took this pic!

Snow Boarding

This year I decided I was not spending 200+ for the boys to take ONE lesson.  I bit the bullet and started looking for used snowboards.  I finally found the right size, along with bindings, helmet and boots.  Not just one set, but TWO!!  Pretty fantastic.  Now, all I have to do is buy the lift tickets a few days in advance and I can get them on the mountain for 6 hours at 33.00 each.   Not too shabby!

The kittens

They are growing up so FAST!  Tygra is already at 9 lbs and his little sister is coming in around 5.5.  They are quite a pair.  Ellie Girl is quite sassy, has learned to play catch and is very much a princess and mama’s girl.  Tygra is about as laid back as can be, tolerates the boys, loves Tony and Tony loves him (even though he won’t admit it!) and has no idea how to deal with his gigantic body!  Love them both and glad we have them.

2020

We hope everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve and Day.  We spend it at home dancing and playing video games.  It was nice and the boys and I made it to about 1:30 AM.  Tony…not so much.  🙂

Birthday

All month LONG!

It started out with the boys birthday party with 25 of their friends on Dec 14th and then we celebrated with family on their actual birthdays on Dec 28th (they went to the gun range with their dad and Michelle and I took them to a breakout room).  It was all a ton of fun and I still can not believe they turned 10!  Does not seem possible.  Also.   A lot of cake!!
